Camp Trip

Each year for the past four years, Nas sponsors a camping trip and vacation called "The World is Yours" for 100 children from the Queensbridge Housing neighborhood.


Hiphop Archive and Research Institute

Nasir Jones Hiphop Fellowship

The Hiphop Archive and the Hutchins Center for African & African American Research at Harvard University established the Nasir Jones Hiphop Fellowship in 2013. The Fellowship provides selected scholars and artists with an opportunity to show that "education is real power," as it builds upon the achievements of those who demonstrate exceptional capacity for productive scholarship and exceptional creative ability in the arts, in connection with Hiphop.

General Assembly

Tech Opportunity Fund

As with most careers in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math), African-American, Latino and female software engineers are sparse. Nas, alongside corporate heavy hitters like Microsoft and Google, is doling out scholarship money to people hoping to attend General Assembly—a coding school with locations in New York City, Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Seattle, San Francisco, London and Washington, D.C.



Tech Scholarship Fund

Koru, a company focused on transforming the college-to-career landscape, announced a partnership with Nas, the legendary rapper, songwriter and actor, to bring Nas’ expertise in real world training and business to college graduates in the Koru program.
